Outgoing Itinerary

I'm about to get on a plane to Newark from PDX, so this might be brief. I'll relate an anecdote about my travel plans today (today being about 48 hours long) and sign off into a plane-coma. Ah, ginger ale!

I arrive in Paris at 735am, local time, exactly 10 mins before departure today, from PDX. That involves a two hour layover in New Jersey, 4-6pm local time, which will maybe provide some firework-y entertainment on the flight out. One can hope one won't have to replace Independence with Bastille entirely, though the sentiments are essentially the same, at least as far as fireworks are concerned.

Then I sleep in the strange haze enveigling avian patrons above the sea Atlantic. Maybe I'll see Greenland!

I have the morning in Paris to find my train to Clermont-Ferrand and fully intend to leave at 1pm, baguette in hand. I will then arrive at 4pm, buy a round-trip ticket to Saint Flour by 5pm, and arrive at 630pm. Ideally there will be enough of us Summer School attendees to motivate the bus to Le Rue Planchettes.

Oh, and dinner is served promptly at 7pm. Wish me luck!
